About Dr. T. S. Kler
Padma Bhushan Dr. Kler is a leading name in the field of cardiology. In his distinguished career of more than 37 years, he has performed over 35,000 coronary, renal, carotid, and peripheral angioplasties.
A pioneer in electrophysiology, he is also credited with establishing the first electrophysiology department in India at a leading hospital in Delhi. He was the first doctor in India to implant ICD, CRT-P, & CRT-D. He was also the first doctor in India to perform HIS Bundle Pacing in the year 2015. He has been instrumental in starting RF ablation & Cardiac Device Implantation Programme at various leading centres in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), UK and Fellow of American College of Cardiology, Dr. Kler is also an Honorary Professor of Cardiology at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and O.P. Jindal University, Sonipat He has trained more than 300 doctors from India and abroad in the field of interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. He is also a scientific advisor to various multinational companies incorporated in the USA.
He has authored about 150 articles in national and international journals. An eminent speaker, Dr. Kler regularly delivers lectures at various national and international conferences like HRS and ACC. He is often invited as a Guest Faculty in the USA, France, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Singapore and Pakistan.
In 2005, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India for his tremendous contribution to medicine. He has also been awarded the prestigious D.Sc (Honoris Causa) by Punjab University, Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indian Medical Association and Times Healthcare Achievers Awards: Legend of Medicine among many others. He has been honoured with the Delhi Medical Association Centenary Award.
